AANS/EANS Resident Education Exchange Program
In collaboration with the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) and the European Association of Neurological Surgeons (EANS), the Neurosurgery Education & Research Foundation (NREF) offers free educational courses to six EANS residents. In return, EANS offers free courses to six AANS residents.
The program covers course fees, accommodation, and meals. Travel costs are not included. To participate to this exciting global program, send your application following the guidelines below. The top six (6) AANS residents applying for these awards will be selected by the AANS Global Committee.

Application requirements for AANS Residents applying for the 2027 EANS Course Award:
- Must be a resident in good standing at a US Neurosurgery ACGME-accredited program, PGY3 or higher
- Letter of support from the Program Director
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Deadline for the application: November 1, 2026
- Awardees will be notified in December 2026
