Skull Base for Senior Residents Course

The course will provide advanced training on skull base anatomy and designing midline anterior, anterolateral, lateral and posterolateral skull base, jugular foramen, and posterior cranial base approaches to senior neurosurgical residents interested in pursuing skull base as a subspecialty concentration. Complication management related to skull base approaches will be emphasized. Residents will perform hands-on dissections under the direction of a renowned faculty to learn pertinent skull base approaches as well as endoscopic transphenoidal approaches. Twenty-four senior neurosurgical residents will be nominated by program directors from the four geographical quadrants of the U.S. neurosurgical residency training programs and selected by the course director for this highly interactive course.
