Resident Education Courses
In cooperation with the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), the Neurosurgery Education & Research Foundation (NREF) offers free courses to provide advanced resident and fellow educational training in topic areas not always covered within neurosurgical residency.
Thanks to our valued individual donors and corporate supporters, the NREF has funded over ninety (90) courses attended by more than 2,000 residents and fellows, with thousands more viewing presentations online.
Attendance at NREF Resident Education courses is by invitation only.
Residency program directors and residency coordinators are notified of these resident course opportunities approximately sixteen (16) weeks in advance of each course and are asked to nominate one resident and one alternate from their program to attend each course, based upon specified course criteria.
